The Angel Hotel - Cardiff

fantastic access to cardiff castle and bustling markets

I loved how close this place is to Cardiff Castle, just a few steps away, and it was so convenient to stroll through the vibrant Cardiff Market nearby with so much local flavor. It really made my weekend city strolls good. The staff were always ready to help.

The room was well-appointed, there were good heating, coffee facilities and soundproof windows. The hotel was in a wonderful location, conveniently near the city centre. I spent 2 nights and would come here again.

Brilliant and stunning location close to all city amenities, close to restaurants and bars.

in love with well-appointed and nicely furnished rooms with a big bathroom. a good heating, a large closet and a high ceiling were available here too. the location was magnificent and close to hills and parks.

The staff were all very nice and helpful and the air con in the room was useful. It is in a great position for shops or Millennium Stadium.

We thought it was a bit pricy for room only but we knew that when we booked.

The small parking lot can get cramped quickly, and finding a space is more luck than planning. Limited breakfast options often left customers wanting, with many items missing even well before the end of service. No vegetarian choices, and the tea brewed weakly if not waterlogged. Heated towel rack uncomfortably positioned near the toilet, posing a risk of burns for the careless. A few lamps in the room didn't work, and the need for bottled water while staying felt inconvenient.

The staff were very helpful: they even kept a special eye on my new motorcycle in their parking overnight via security camera. Also the Brains ale was nice..I had expected less.

Breakfast I thought a little overpriced for the average quality.

Near facilities and the room was clean but the carpet in corridors threadbare in places,really needs improvements....

The clicking all night of the central heating coming from pipes nent to bed,a torture.The fire alarm test on morning after arrival and trying t meke a speedy exit,apparently our fault for not seeing sign in elavator on arrival,maybe staff could mention this to visitors on arrival.Went to use phone to reception to see if there was fire because alarm stopped and started again but the phone was unplugged and could not find the socket in the panic,we were on third floor..... We were in a room with fanlight window so could not see outside.....dont think we will use hotel again

The female member of staff at reception was a delight and our room was excellent.

City center location and hotel car parking.The hotel has a nice entrance and staircase but thats it.

I didnt like thread bare carpets,filthy window frames inside,drafty windows and a musty smell in the corridors,black mould in the bathroom and the price for putting up with it all.
